| Paul McCartney used to be in this band…maybe you have heard of them…they were called “Wings.” At any rate, Paul is 2 for 2 on solo albums. I had all but given up on him when he really shocked me and every other critic with Chaos and Creation in the Backyard, a brilliant album, it was his best in years. Now he’s released another brilliant album, Memory Almost Full. I love this one as much as the last, though many don’t seem to dig this one as much. This is as rockin’ as he’s been since Wings with powerful hooks and melodies, he sounds 30 years younger. It’s a fun record. Paul can’t win though, people want to hate his records because he’s not “The Beatles.” Yeah, no one is, get over it. |
