| Notes |
| I almost missed this one. I think it was Jim Worthen that reminded me about this one. What a beautiful and fun pop record! I love this album with its great instrumentation, quirky arrangements and interesting melodies. Straddling that line between Power Pop and Indie rock, Field music scores again with Tones of Town. They get an "F" for packaging though...standard black tray in a jewel case with a minimalistic insert and cheap snapshot looking cover art. This album sounds so much better than it's packaging. They should have gone with a painting or illustration for the cover and an all cardboard package to reflect the music inside. |
