| Notes |
| The last time Fountains of Wayne put out an album it was an easy number one on my year-end list. That was Welcome Interstate Managers, which made it to the top of many Best Of lists that year. Now they’re back with the follow-up, Traffic and Weather, another great album, while not quite as good as the last. It does have one of the bands best songs yet, “Someone To Love” and some of their best lyrics as well. Traffic and Weather would have made it to number one on my list but it has 2 or 3 duds, and once again it’s too long for a power pop release, but that’s nitpicking really, since the premature departure of Jellyfish, Fountains of Wayne are the best in this genre and Traffic and Weather is one of the best releases of the year. |
